Meet the DAS Core: our own AI, running in Scotland.
Most agencies rent AI. We built ours: a private stack of hardware, open-weight models, live data, automation and agents that works on your marketing and operations 24/7.
Why owning the compute changes everything.
- Privacy. Client data is processed on our hardware in Scotland and never used to train third-party models.
- Cost. No per-seat or per-token AI fees means automation is affordable to run all day, every day.
- Control. We choose, tune and swap models freely, and aren't hostage to any one vendor.
- Capacity. Client work runs on dedicated, fixed-capacity resources with queues and priorities, so your automations never compete for a crowded shared service.
Six layers, one system.
Hardware
A dedicated AI inference node with 128 GB of unified memory for running large models, a 94 GB automation and application server running 70+ self-hosted services, and a fleet of low-power edge nodes. All owned and operated by us, in Scotland.
Models
Open-weight language models (including a 35-billion-parameter mixture-of-experts model), fast small models for real-time voice, speech-to-text, text-to-speech, image and music generation. Swappable as better models are released, with no vendor lock-in.
Data
Self-hosted search, vector databases and knowledge stores, plus live signals from search, social, analytics, reviews and competitors.
Automation
Self-hosted n8n workflows orchestrate everything, connecting models, data and your business apps with error handling and monitoring.
Agents
In-house AI agents coordinated by an orchestration layer research, create, publish, follow up and report, with human approval on anything client-facing.
People
Strategy, quality control and relationships stay human. The DAS Core does the heavy lifting; we make the judgement calls.
About the DAS Core
What is the DAS Core?
The DAS Core is Digital Agency Scotland's private AI stack: our own servers, open-weight AI models, self-hosted automation and in-house agents, running 24/7 on hardware we own in Scotland.
Why not just use ChatGPT like everyone else?
Owning the stack means client data stays with us, running costs are lower and more predictable, we can tailor models to each client's voice, and we're not exposed to one vendor's outages, price rises or policy changes.
Do you ever use cloud AI?
Our default is local processing. Where a specialist cloud service would genuinely produce a better result for a specific task, we explain why and ask your permission first.
How do you avoid overloading the system?
Client work runs on fixed-capacity resources with job queues and priorities, so real-time services like chatbots and voice agents stay fast while batch work such as content and reports runs around the clock.
